Why students from PCMC choose iLearn CRI

Pimpri-Chinchwad is Pune’s industrial township to the north, covering Pimpri, Chinchwad, Nigdi, Akurdi, and Bhosari. It has one of the region’s largest concentrations of engineering, science, and pharmacy graduates, many from colleges affiliated to SPPU and Savitribai Phule Pune University campuses in the area. iLearn CRI’s Wakad campus is about 20 to 30 minutes away, which puts structured clinical research training within a manageable reach for this population.

Getting to iLearn CRI from PCMC

By road, the most direct route from most of PCMC is the Aundh-Ravet road or the Kalewadi-Wakad connector toward Tathawade, a drive of roughly 20 to 30 minutes depending on your starting point. Nigdi and Akurdi at the northern end sit closer to the Ravet side, while Pimpri and Bhosari add a little more time through the older highway stretch.

Public transport is a real strength here. Pune Metro Line 1 runs through PCMC with stations at PCMC, Nashik Phata, and Kasarwadi, and the Chinchwad and Akurdi railway stations lie on the Pune-Lonavala local line. PMPML buses from Pimpri, Chinchwad, and Nigdi feed the Wakad corridor frequently. For the final leg into Tathawade, autos and Rapido bikes cover the gap that public transport does not.
